Our client is the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of door opening solutions, meeting tough end-user demands for safety, security and convenience. They have very well known brand names and are looking for a Product Manager to work from their site in the Midlands.

This is a fixed term contract initially to cover maternity leave but may be extended for the right person.
Working closely with the Retail and Trade Team the successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of new products, managing of ongoing range activity and supporting the Sales team in ensuring all business objectives are met.
Main responsibilities of the role are as follows:

To develop, manage and improve existing product ranges in order to maximize sales and profitability

To support ongoing product and range development where required in the Retail and Trade channel

To ensure all Product Development is taken through the NPI process

To develop and utilise a thorough understanding of the market, competitor activity and consumer buying behavior

To support brand communication programs including packaging design, PR and advertising.

To manage and develop one direct report

Key Accountabilities:

Management of the whole mechanical product portfolio

Delivery of transfer projects and product launches on time and budget

Delivery of profitable products and continued management of the products profitability throughout the product life cycle.



  • 5 years experience working in a Product management role
  • Experience of developing products with Far East Suppliers
  • Managing multiple projects - strong Project Management skills
  • Understanding of commercial P&L
  • Ideally educated to degree level
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Enthusiastic
