They are currently looking for a Finance Graduate to join their team working from one of their manufacturing sites based in Birmingham.

The Role

You will work in conjunction with the Financial Controller and be responsible for the accurate processing and flow of information to internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

Complete ownership of the purchase ledger:

  • Maintenance of supplier accounts / master-data;

  • Registering of purchase invoices in ERP system on receipt;

  • Manage 3 way-match and invoice approval process;

  • Maintain KPIs relevant to the function;

  • Processing of the monthly purchase ledger payment run and ad-hoc payments to suppliers;

  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations.

Cash management:

  • Maintain cashbook on a daily basis;

  • Meet cash related Group reporting requirements;

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.

Employee expenses – administration and support of the Concur expense system.

Quarterly VAT returns.

Monitoring and reporting of inventory cycle counting activity.

Assist Financial Controller as part of the month-end close through the processing of month end journals, preparation of month end file and general support.

Performing any other duties appropriate to this post, as necessary or as requested.


You will be supported to study for a professionalqualification preferably CIMA.


2:1 or above in a relevant  degree subject

Some solid work experience in finance either as a placement year or post-graduation would be advantageous

 Has a growth mind-set and strives for continuous improvement.

 Flexible, willing to learn, takes on new challenges and solves problems.

Thorough in approach with close attention to detail

Excellent It Skills including  Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel.
