Essentra is a leading international supplier of specialist plastic, fibre, foam and packaging products with three Strategic Business Units: Component Solutions, Health &Personal Care Packaging and Filtration Products. Every day they produce and distribute millions of small but essential components. Their products may not be noticeable – or even recognisable – but wherever you are, their business is all around you. Their international network extends to 33 countries and includes 53 principal manufacturing facilities, 64 sales and distribution operations and 5 research & development centres.

They are looking to recruit a HSE Graduate to join theirteam based from their UK Head Office in Milton Keynes.


You will join their graduate development programme trainingalongside graduates from across the globe. The role has considerable exposureto Essentra’s senior management and will be mentored by qualified staff in theteam.


The main purpose of the role is to support the Group SHEQDirector in delivering the global HS&E strategy and programmes and act asthe primary point of contact for HS&E in the Milton Keynes

Head Office.


Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the global HS&E strategy and programmes

  • Act as the point of focus for Group-wide HS&E programmes as directed by the Group HS&E Director

  • Act as the primary point of contact for HS&E issues at the Milton Keynes Head Office

  • Support the development and delivery of robust business continuity plans across the Group

  • Collate data and assist in the production of the Group HS&E monthly reports

  • Undertake analysis of Group-wide HS&E data to identify trends and support HS&E improvement programmes

  • Collate and administer the Group’s environmental submissions to meet legal, customer and other stakeholder requirements, e.g. Packaging Waste Regulations, Carbon Emissions (CRC, CDP) etc.

  • Promote a positive HS&E culture


• Minimum 2:1 degree in Health, Safety and Environmental Management
• You must have drive, enthusiasm, a ‘can do’ attitude, with the ability to think for yourself and take responsibility for your actions from day one
• You should be self-motivated, with good time management and excellent organisational skills - You should be able to communicate at all levels
• You must be an innovative and creative thinker with the ability to take on and develop new ideas.
•Strong analytical ability and attention for detail combined with an ability to take a high level strategic view.
•Excellent IT skills
