Description:

Our client is a leading corporate event management agency who deliver excellent customer service, high attention to detail and have a highly creative approach. With clients in the UK and overseas they provide tailored solutions for all their clients event needs.

They are currently looking to recruit an Event manager to be based from their offices near Banbury, Oxfordshire.

The role will include the following duties:

  • Client Relations - from concept to wash-up for key client events to overseeing key client event programmes with the support of event co-ordinator team 

  • Venue Searching to outline client brief

  • Proposal & Presentation Writing

  • Event Management - On-site event management for key accounts and support roles for colleagues events, including overnight stays and some overseas travel.

  • Invoicing and Analysis

    • Management accounting for key clients

    • Budget and financial management

    • Calculating and preparing accurate commission invoices to suppliers

    • Calculating and preparing accurate client invoices

       

  • General Business Development – Client development for existing and new clients and maintaining the companies online profile. 

  • Event Website Design and configuration

  • Communication

    • Clear reporting support and communication with Partners  

    • Follow up calls to clients post event for event feedback

    • Negotiate rates and added value service

    • Develop high level of customer care and rapport with clients and promote add-on services.

    • Building relationships with venue and ancillary suppliers

    • Meeting with individual account managers to form useful relationships for future negotiating

Qualifications:

 
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in an events management or a corporate events role.
  • Experience in a fast paced and demanding environment.  
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills including a good understanding of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher & Access
  • Proficient in Twitter, Linkedin and CMS database management
  • Good understanding of social media use in relation to conference marketing
  • A hardworking and “can-do” attitude with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Full driving license and own car
