Our client is one of the largest suppliers to the automotive industry worldwide. They design, engineer and provide the best in technology, systems and services for the cockpit of the future and a more sustainable mobility. They supply the automotive industry in all five continents and have 300 sites in 35 countries.

They are looking to recruit two Manufacturing Graduates to be based from their site near Lichfield, West Midlands.

As a Manufacturing Graduate you will contribute to plant performance and profitability with direct labour focus and operating principles application.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in HSE, Quality, and Production system based on 11 lean manufacturing principles to contribute to achieve operational business targets

  • Follow up deployment plans, to support the Plant Improvement Plan (PIP) execution.

  • Provide knowledge and skills to the plant team through training, coaching and education.

  • Participle in company principles from design stage (lean process design, validation of Equipment design, cardboard workshop activities, Standardized Work ,OHP, process layout, packaging, etc..)

  • Contribute to the Plant cost budget construction and achievement, through efficient cost management and cost improvement plan

This role will also see candidates joining the companies two year graduate development programme with the option for graduates to complete a fully funded Masters in Leadership and Management accredited by Coventry University.


  • Minimum 2:1 or above in a BEng/MEng degree discipline

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to train and coach within a manufacturing environment

  • Continuous improvement mind set

  • Resilient to change

  • Understand basic  P&L and  operational budgets

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • An industrial placement year or experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
