Description:

Our client is one of the largest suppliers to the automotive industry worldwide. They design, engineer and provide the best in technology, systems and services for the cockpit of the future and a more sustainable mobility. They supply the automotive industry in all five continents and have 300 sites in 35 countries.

They are currently looking to recruit two Graduate Operations Supervisors to work from their site in Lichfield, West Midlands.

The main responsibilities of this role are to manage production, performance, personnel issues and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards of several  Autonomous Production Groups as well as leading the Quality, Cost & Delivery (QCD) performance.

You will also:

  • Direct QCD initiatives -  set targets, implement plans, track results and make appropriate adjustments to attain results

  • Drive actions for improvementcommunicating with production unit managers and production supervisors to find improvements and create action plans

  • Manage team performance and personnel issues – assuming responsibility for daily team management as well as being responsible for the individual development of team members.

  • Ensure that working conditions are compliant with HSE standards.

Please note that this role has a shift based rota system.

This role will also see candidates joining the two year Graduate Development Programme with the option for graduates to complete a fully funded Masters in Leadership and Management accredited by Coventry University.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2:1 or above in a BEng/MEng degree discipline

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Team player

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • An industrial placement year or experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous along with any supervisory experience.
