Our client is one of the largest suppliers to the automotive industry worldwide. They design, engineer and provide the best in technology, systems and services for the cockpit of the future and a more sustainable mobility. They supply the automotive industry in all five continents and have 300 sites in 35 countries.


They are looking to recruit a Supply Chain & Logistics Graduate to be based from their site near Lichfield, West Midlands. This person will provide Production Control and Logistics focus on each new project. You will be a key team member for the Logistics areas and be responsible for keeping the PC & L requirements on time and to budget.

Main Responsibilities:

Develop all PC&L Budget line items for the assigned project

Conduct On-Site Customer and Supplier Readiness reviews, then develop and manage Up-to Schedule Plans

Interface with all appropriate Programme Management, Engineering, Launch and Plant personnel to proactively manage relevant items, contain costs, ensure Customer and company timelines/milestones are met, supplier and plant issues addressed

Track assigned programmes, highlight bottlenecks, timing issues, cost concerns, inefficiencies, customer requirements

Provide improvement recommendations, and champion implementing approved recommendations

Develop logistics, perform freight analysis, interface with carriers, resolve carrier issues

Develop packaging requirements, quotes, allocate containers as needed, resolve packaging issues

This role will also see candidates joining the company’s two year graduate development programme with the option for graduates to complete a fully funded Masters in Leadership and Management accredited by Coventry University.


  • Minimum 2:1 or above in a relevant degree discipline – Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing or Engineering

  • Must have graduated in the last 3 years

  • 12 months relevant work experience either as an industrial placement or after graduation

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to train and coach within a manufacturing environment

  • Continuous improvement mind set

  • Resilient to change

  • Understand basic  P&L and  operational budgets

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • A second language in French or Spanish would be advantageous but not essential
