Essentra is a leading international supplier of specialist plastic, fibre, foam and packaging products with three Strategic Business Units: Component Solutions, Health & Personal Care Packaging and Filtration Products. Every day they produce and distribute millions of small but essential components. Their products may not be noticeable – or even recognisable – but wherever you are, their business is all around you. Their international network extends to 33 countries and includes 53 principal manufacturing facilities, 64 sales and distribution operations and 5 research & development centres.
They are looking to recruit a graduate into the Commercial Services Organisation to be based from their office in Dublin. As part of this role you will also join the 2 year graduate development programme training alongside graduates from across the globe as well as being given the opportunity to train in key international locations.

The main function of the department is to support the H&PC Commercial teams in managing the following functions: 
Request for Information (RFI) & Confidentiality/ Contract Management ensuring timely and relevant responses in a One Essentra format
Centralised control and management of Tenders/ Request for Quotation (RFQ), pricing methodology and strategy across  H&PC Europe
Utilise expertise and knowledge of the Commercial Service team to develop, deliver, utilise and maintain an Essentra unified costing model 
Support site based project leads in driving improved new business transition & onboarding utlising the Commercial Services Transfer Toolkit
Ongoing site level project based review of customer commercials targeting improved efficiencies & margin via Continuous Improvement
Manage and support the various other functions of CSO such as Salesforce, Claims Mgt, S&OP, and others as may be developed over time

The main purpose of the job is to:
To utilise the time spent in the role to expand and develop ones experience, knowledge and understating of the capabilities of the business
In benefiting from the challenges presented with the scope of the role be willing to work throughout the process to focus and progress self-development in order to strengthen key competencies and acumen 
Work within the role to support the Commercial Services Organisation and wider team to learn and manage the tender process from RFI through to conclusion of tender process and engage in post tender appraisal and reporting
Ensure a One Essentra approach is applied through the development and support of a robust and comprehensive processes and structures to provide for the review of RFIs, Confidentiality, Contract and other  agreements
Be willing and open to impart one’s own personal experience & knowledge within the team whilst working to build  on same by learning from the others in the team in terms of commercial and business acumen, across  all components of Cartons, Leaflets, Labels & Foil
Assume the roles and responsibilities of key aspects of the function as assigned  by the Commercial Services Organisation Director
Work with the team in supporting development, maintenance and use of costing models supporting all packaging component types 
Manage and support the Commercial Service Team and Director across various other functions of CSO such as Salesforce, Claims Mgt, S&OP, Customer Proposals and others as may be developed over time
Minimum 2:1 degree in a numerate or business discipline

Work experience or a placement year in a relevant role
Strong IT skills, including MS Excel

Highly numerate with strong analytical skills

Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

Commercially driven, self-motivated and ambitious with a strong desire to succeed

Excellent leadership potential and the ability to work as part of a team

Excellent co-ordination and influencing skills as well as creative and problem-solving abilities

Capable of working under pressure whilst prioritising and manage time and workload effectively

A Full UK driver’s license and the ability to travel to other clients sites, which will include travel overseas.
