Job Description
Essentra is a leading international supplier of specialist plastic, fibre, foam and packaging products with three Strategic Business Units: Component Solutions, Health & Personal Care Packaging and Filtration Products. Every day they produce and distribute millions of small but essential components. Their products may not be noticeable – or even recognisable – but wherever you are, their business is all around you. Their international network extends to 33 countries and includes 53 principal manufacturing facilities, 64 sales and distribution operations and 5 research & development centres.
 
They are looking to recruit a graduate into the Commercial area of the business in Key Account Management to be based from their UK Head Office in Milton Keynes.
 
As part of this role you will also join the 2 year graduate development programme training alongside graduates from across the globe as well as being given the opportunity to train in key international locations.

The Key Account Graduate will work within the European Key Account team predominately taking a Key Account Co-ordination role within one of the Key Account teams which will be internally based however have the opportunity to develop external facing customer skills with some of our European Region Key Accounts through participation in both internal and external customer meetings.

Key Areas:
 
Develop customer understanding and seeking opportunities for Essentra to grow level of customer engagement through product or service offer

Through building comprehensive understanding of Essentra business deliver customer confidence in Essentra PLC

Strengthen commercial process from customer contact through to delivery

Project management of key customer opportunities

Commercial Analytics and Portfolio Analysis

Implementation and management of Key Account Plans

Salesforce reporting and analytics

Analysis and understanding of market and competitor trends

Understand, adhere and improve overall Essentra Key Account offer- considering existing procedures and customer strategic fit

Work within the European commercial team utilising relationships with customers to gain an understanding of demand, “right stock and the right time” – working with operational teams to ensure that customers’ expectations are met.

Develop  “pro-active” customer contact to help build relationships and help identify new business opportunities

Working within Key Account team for relevant accounts supporting delivery of sales targets and team objectives target
 
Qualifications
Minimum 2:1 degree in a numerate or business discipline

Work experience or a placement year in a relevant role
 
Strong IT skills, including MS Excel

Highly numerate with strong analytical skills

Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

Commercially driven, self-motivated and ambitious with a strong desire to succeed

Excellent leadership potential and the ability to work as part of a team

Excellent co-ordination and influencing skills as well as creative and problem-solving abilities

Capable of working under pressure whilst prioritising and manage time and workload effectively

A Full UK driver’s license and the ability to travel to other clients sites, which will include travel overseas.
