Our client is one of the largest tyre distribution groups in Europe and is growing quickly both organically and through acquisitions.

In 2017, the company acquired the leading distributor of replacement tyres in Italy, and an independent multi-channel tyre distributor in Germany. This summer it also completed the deal to acquire a privately owned full-tyre wholesaler in Germany. The plan is to manage each acquired company as a separate commercial brand entity, while exploiting the combined scale to achieve benefits as part of the Group.

Over the last three years the business has grown from €250,000 to €1.2bn, which is ahead of target and this year alone revenues have increased by 50%. By 2020 the aim is to be the market leader in four European markets across all channels: B2B, Retail and E-commerce with revenues approaching €3bn.

The Company is looking for a Finance Graduate/Placement Student for a 12 month contract to start as soon as possible. It will be based from their office on the Strand in Central London (nearest tube stations Charing Cross or Embankment).

The successful candidate will be given the appropriate training and be expected to:

  • Collate finance and commercial information to prepare meaningful reports and analysis for distribution to various departments

  • Assist in the Company budgeting and forecasting process to ensure rigour in financial planning

  • Develop effective techniques and processes for financial planning

  • Develop appropriate financial methods and procedures for measuring and evaluating performance

  • Assist in smooth closure of the month end process

  • Get involved with Ad-hoc projects

  • Good degree in Finance, Business or other numerate discipline (or could be studying towards and looking for a placement year)

  • Knowledge of business operations and strategy including cost components, business processes

  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint  and Word skills

  • Extremely attentive to detail

  • Quantitative in nature

  • Highly self-motivated

  • Able to work in a truly dynamic team environment who can adapt to changing deadline

  • An understanding of Financial Planning principles

  • Knowledge of German and/or Italian language is a plus

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
